Courtyard by Marriott Portland East

The bed was so comfy and the room has nice space and seating. The shower is a good size and modern, and there is a lot of space in the bathroom.

The bathroom floor seemed a little sticky, maybe from the cleaner that is used. There is shower gel and shampoo, but no lotion. The coffee situation isn't great - the maker in the room is tiny and the coffee/cream don't taste good. There's no free lobby coffee, but there is a bistro where you can buy expensive coffee.

The location was extremely convenient for my needs, with easy access right off the freeway. Its proximity to major routes made commuting simple and efficient, saving both time and effort. Also the staff were friendly and accommodating.

While the hotel itself was decent, there were several disappointing aspects of my stay. First, no breakfast was offered, which was surprising given the price of the room. The biggest issue was the hotel store, where prices were outrageously high. A pint of ice cream and a single bottle of soda cost me nearly $15. There is a 7-Eleven adjacent to the property, but getting there was far less convenient than it sounds. The path felt like walking through a forest, making a quick trip for snacks or drinks more of a trek than expected. Overall, I felt nickel-and-dimed during my stay, and the lack of affordable food and beverage options left a negative impression.
