Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa

The property was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff was friendly and helpful. The King suite was spacious and clean.

The sewage smell throughout the property. Wish they piped in a good smelling scent like the Westin Hotel chain does. It unfortunately needs it! I’m not sure if it’s the lake that the property sits in or that it’s an older property. I would have given it a 10 if it weren’t for the smell.

I liked that the beds were very comfortable and it was a great location for why we were there.

I did not like that many of the businesses in the village next-door appeared to be shut down as well as the casino, it seemed like a ghost town. I especially did not enjoy the sulfur smell throughout their property. It was a huge deterrent in us, wanting to stay at the property and spend time at any of the bars or restaurants therefore we ended up going elsewhere. When we ran the showers in our room, the smell really came through the drains. For such a nice Hilton resort, I would expect that smell to have been remedied but per the reviews I found online this has been an ongoing issue for a very long time.

This property is a complete disappointment and although the employees that we encountered were very pleasant and responsive, the property itself is the reason for the review and the reason we will not return nor recommend others to stay here. The resort is pretty and has beautiful views but from the moment you enter you can tell there are major problems with the upkeep and plumbing. The stench once you walk in is the first warning of serious water/sewage/ plumbing problems. The smell is an over-powering sewage smell. The next issue happened when we tried to shower and there was no hot water. We had to let the water run for 30 minutes before the water became luke warm. We called guest services and they were polite and said they would send the engineer while we were gone for the day. On return to the hotel there once again was no hot water, after running the water for another 30 min the water was luke warm. In fairness to the hotel they offered to move our room but engineer stated that this was a common issue. I have never encountered this at any hotel before. Guest services was very helpful and did what they could to accommodate us but the underlying problems of the horrible smell and no hot water are not acceptable and should be addressed. Other issues, ice machine next to our room had no ice, rooms could use updating.

Scored a great price from a 3rd party website. Arrived on a Tuesday. The Hilton was a ghost town. Barely ran into another customer. Turns out, one of the few other customers was next door and came in early morning and talked so loud they woke us up every day about 4am. The entire property smelled like septic. We made the most of our stay but next time will choose another property.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The property was gorgeous!

It’s a little out of the way from anything, and there’s no casino.
