Hampton Inn Dubuque

Location perfect. Very clean room, spacious. Heater worked good on the chilly night. Great that shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand soap was provided. Refrigerator worked well.

Breakfast wasn't good-sausage was cold, eggs were tasteless. Mattress was hard and lumpy.

Not a never clean room. Garbage was not emptied, trash under the bed behind the headboard, our feet were filthy from walking around the room. For what we paid for a room I would expect it to much cleaner. I was quite disappointed. Decent breakfast. Nice front desk staff but rooms were gross in my opinion.

Breakfast was the usual fare served in less expensive establishments, not up to hampton's standards.

Great experience. Friendly front desk staff. Room was two queen beds and plenty big on second floor. Loved the big built in wooden shelf to put suitcase on. Enough room to sit myself on too. Bathroom was large. Room was clean. View was front of hotel. Location was across the street from a mall and near smaller string of stores too. Most importantly it was easy to get to downtown Dubuque for National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, and other spots like Julien Dubuque monument. It was an easy 27 minute drive to Field of Dreams too. Breakfast had variety with sausage, eggs, cereal, waffle maker, and more. They provide housekeeping every other day, but if you need something in the middle like I did (Body soap), you just ask and they gave me a replacement. I did not use other amenities and each day was able to park up front. The main parking is on side or back for most.

Was visiting with a friend from out of town (Des Moines) and reserved a room for one night on 8.9.25. The hotel is in a odd location, right off the highway in Dubuque and behind some strip malls. Close to shopping places and about 15 minutes or less to downtown Dubuque. When checking in, no one was at the front desk and sat around for 10 minutes to check in. I was placed in room 355 and the walls are very thin. Had plenty of kids staying on the third floor and you could hear them yelling through the walls. At night, you could see the hallway light shining through the cracks of the door jam of my room. I have attached 4 different pics, mainly of the bathroom ceiling where it was stained by the moisture from the shower and there were hairs stuck to the ceiling and hair stuck to some places of the tile in the shower. The small wall vent in the bathroom had plenty of dirt stuck to it. I think the tile when you first came into the room could have been cleaned better. The beds were not comfortable, very stiff. My friend also complained that his back was stiff from overnight. I was not impressed with this place and paid through a 3rd Party Vendor and the charge for one night at this hotel was roughly 249.19 for one night. Some of the charges were just worthless surcharges but I would not stay here again. At times, I don't think the AC unit worked but the most concerning is the hotel not being clean.

Nice place to rest up on our vacation

The help at this Hampton Inn need to do a better job cleaning rooms. We waited more than hour past check in to get our room because they were running behind. Unfortunately our room wasn’t very clean. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed, and it needed to be! In addition to pieces of “stuff” on the carpet, there was even a French fry in plain sight. We wiped down all of the furniture and bathroom surfaces with anti-bac wipes because they were not clean. Surfaces were very dusty in some areas; they hadn’t been taken care of in quite some time. The bathroom floor was dirty, the wipes in the picture show the filth. The shower door track and drain were gross. The vents on the a/c unit were the dirtiest we’ve ever seen. To top it off, the bedding was so wrinkly, we were not sure if it was clean; obviously they don’t bother to fold the sheets after laundering. If all of the rooms are like the one we got, they all need a good deep clean. We left our room much cleaner than when we checked in, the next guests will be fortunate to get the room! We can’t believe this hotel is up to Hampton Inn standards.
