Villa Semana Resort Ubud

Le cadre est merveilleux, la piscine à débordement avec vue sur la végétation. Le bassin privé de la chambre et sa douche à l’extérieur. L’isolement de chaque chambre. La nature autour est fantastique et l’on doit faire avec les les oiseaux, les geckos, les grenouilles, et même un immense lézard aperçu sur la terrasse de la rivière. Les allées, les jardins sont beaux. L’hôtel est enchanteur loin du tumulte touristique d’Ubud. Les navettes gratuites pour Ubud sont parfaite. Tous le personnel est discret et vraiment adorable. Nous avons organisé une journée de visite avec eux, c’était parfait. Le must est de se faire masser au bord de la rivière proche de la petite cascade. Juste un bonheur pour le cadre, l’accueil aux petits soins et le très bon massage. Oui les prestations sont plus élever qu’à Ubud mais vous n’aurez pas l’attention ni le plaisir des sens qu’offre cet endroit unique. Nous y avons dîner le soir de notre arrivée et la cuisine est excellente. Le petit déjeuné également notamment les recettes balinaises. Mention spécial à Pak Putu, le driver de la navette, un homme attentionné et de bon conseil. Très habile dans la conduite dans ce traffic unique. Vraiment adorable. Le cadeau est cette vue incroyable sur les champs et la végétation en arrivant à l’entrée extérieur de l’hôtel. Bref un hôtel a faire absolument.

Absolument rien. Les quelques default que l’on pourrait trouver seront à mettre sur les 25 ans de cet hôtel, un petit coin défraîchi par ci par là, mais sans cesse en rénovation.

We had an issue with the room I booked vs the room they allocated. It was resolved promptly and we were upgraded to the royal villa. Boy was it fit for a king! Felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, over looking the river and was so peaceful. Room was serviced twice daily, breakfast was included and not buffet but a la carte with a great selection. Food was lovely and staff were exceptional, especially Riski, who helped us out with our room issue and much more. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay this place is it, just avoid the villa named Katalia, it has no view from outdoor area and in need of a good waterblasting. Suksma to all the amazing staff, we had a fantastic time!

My only suggestions would be for the restaurant to change up the music, it got very monotonous and boring. Cleaning staff need to replace all dirty items. Facecloths were never replaced nor were cups and glasses. Windows in our bathroom were filthy but may be because they weren’t expecting guests in this villa so hadn’t been done.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Villa Semana in Ubud for a few days during my honeymoon and it truly exceeded every expectation. My villa was beautifully designed, blending traditional Balinese charm with modern comfort. The private pool and serene views made it hard to leave the room at all! The staff were exceptional—attentive, thoughtful, and always ready to go the extra mile without ever being intrusive. Every detail, from the welcome drink to the personalized service, made the stay feel so special. The restaurant deserves a mention as well—every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with the setting making each dining experience unforgettable. Breakfast by the river was a highlight of my trip. What I loved most was the sense of peace and privacy—while still being only a short drive away from the heart of Ubud. It truly felt like a hidden paradise, perfect for relaxation, romance, or simply reconnecting with nature. I can’t recommend Villa Semana enough. If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in Bali, where luxury meets authenticity and tranquility, this is the place to be!

I loved everything! One thing to note is that as the villas are in nature, there will be a lot of nature and bugs so be aware of that if you are scared of that but I think it’s worth it in terms of being so authentically in the middle of the forest.
