"Super friendly, accommodating staff made the stay great, though paying for parking was a downside."

Staff was super friendly and helpful! I asked for a change of room for one with a desk for working and the concierge was very kind in finding me one. He also helped us with blocking out lights from our window. Overall, the staff is super friendly and bring this hotel to life. Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice and clean. The bed could have been firmer. Our room was facing the highway, but the noise wasn't noticeable enough to interrupt my sleep.

There were some other hotels within 5-10 mins that didn't charge for parking. Street parking was the only free option here.

Enjoyed the pool, had a decent breakfast and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy walk to the main part of Old Town and great access to public transportation.

"Typical Lower-End Chain Hotel"

This is a typical hotel for this price range. The front desk reception was excellent. There is pay parking ($25/night) in the basement. There are lots of spots but I have to say they are quite narrow—I had trouble manoeuvering my little 4-door into the spaces without hitting a pole or adjacent car, and an SUV would have been really challenging. The breakfast buffet was fine. The location is rather bleak—right next to the freeway—but it is only a 10-minute walk to the “Old Town” area with multiple Mexican restaurants. My biggest gripe concerns the curtains—there are no heavy curtains, only gauzy sheer curtains, and there was a bright light outside, so it was impossible to make the room dark at night. Why do hotels do this??
