Lemonap Hostel

the hostel is centrally located and has an evening food market within walking distance. the staff were supportive. I came after they had left but the key wasn’t working. I was able to communicate easily with a representative and she eventually came and fixed the issue for me. this was my second time staying at Lemonap and I am likely to stay there again if I need a hostel in Chiang Mai.

The price. One employee provided excellent care, but the rest of the staff's performance was disappointing.

I found at least 3 bedbugs in my bed. Cannot contact the staff for help in every communication channel around 9 PM. The upper bed has a very large space between the wall and your belongings can easily fall to the lower bed. Broken equipment such as the clothes rail of your bed. The water temperature in the afternoon is too hot. You will not be happy to shower after you checked in at 2 PM. Also, The aircon can be turned on after 4 PM as well.

I have stayed here on three separate locations, and will return again if I am in Chiang Mai. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect. You can refill water and there is a basic Breakfast of bread, spreads, bananas. Short walk from a 7/11 and some great restaraunts and cafes.

Clean bed sheets, shower and toilet, though the area just outside the bathroom in the hallway can be messy from other people who stay there. Can't really be helped - just depends on who else is staying there. Also, I recommend bringing ear plugs in case someone snores!

The beds are spacious, with a towel rack and 2 electrical points. Breakfast was offered ( this was apparently going to stop though) and there was free drinking water along with hot water in the morning and coffee, hot chocolate and tea. The lounge area was pleasant with a few fans to help keep cool when working or chatting

strange rule of not using the hot water dispenser after midday and to use the microwave to warm water - the microwave was pretty grim on the inside.

friendly staff and really comfortable beds. Great location, near a lot of other hostels and close to the old town. Would definitely stay again.
