Fantastic food and waiting staff. Great location for learning about and seeing the spiral train tunnels.

Cabins are VERY close together. Although very stylish there is very little room to actually put your luggage or hang anything up. Bath is tiny. Despite repeated requests nobody fixed the fire in our room. Reception staff didn’t seem to have much local knowledge.

This lodge is such a hidden gem. I wanted to book the Moraine Lake lodge, but they were sold out, so I booked the sister lodge. They offer a free shuttle to the Moraine lake and so many other amenities. It's a short drive to lake Louise and all the scenery in Yoho national park. The complimentary breakfast is some of the best breakfasts I've ever had.

It's a bit pricey compared to other accommodations in lake Louise area, but the location is so convenient that you can drive to lake Louise and Yoho.

Wow! Absolutely loved my stay at Cathedral Mountain Lodge! Emma checked me in, walked me to my cabin, and offered to fetch my luggage from my car. The cabin was beautiful, really warm and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were out of this world, and the service was second to none. Compliments to the chef on the Halibut dish that I had for dinner. So tasty and well presented. I wasn’t expecting breakfast to be as good as dinner but it was! And it was really kind of the staff to look after my luggage while I went on my bucket list trip to Lake O’Hara for the day. Cathedral Mountain Lodge far exceeded my expectations, and was streets ahead of Emerald Lake Lodge where I stayed for a night last year. I will definitely be back!

The rain! (Just my luck)

Liked absolutely everything about Cathedral Mountain Lodge. The cabins were amazing, in excellent condition, clean, the building design and quality sensational as were all the staff.

A very minor 2 points. Instructions for getting the gas fireplace going (was just a thermostat auto control in the end) and there is road and train noise from the main highway pass at night but ear plugs resolved.
