Nice old building. Quiet location. Good sized room.

The e-mail receipt and confirmation had a pin code that I thought would open the key safe, it didn't. I am elderly and still use a land line, so I had given you that number. Apparently the key safe pin was to be sent by SMS. Which doesn't work on a land line. Now back home I have discovered the code was sent later by e-mail, by which time I had turned my computer off. After a bit of confusion on site, a staff member appeared and sorted the problem out. Pity about me not reading that e-mail on time as I did not know about the free breakfast.

Thoughtfulness of the management was lovely. Provided a little take home book was special. I love the chinese/buddist ornaments and art works?!?

It is a very used bed, yes comfy but VERY well worn, needed more/bigger blankets and pillows also very worn and should be replaced asap. The linen was not exceptionally clean or bed presentation was not great. The kitchen was very 'make shift,' disorganised and not clean enough for me. Would be nice to be provided a robe to get to and from the shared bathrooms. These also could really use an update and some deep cleaning, and maintenance as the shower doors were hard to open, the soaps and shampoo and conditioner dispensers were not great. No storage options in there for much stuff which is understandable but you need to put your stuff somewhere and the sinks dont really do the job. (make up, toothbrush etc) Facilities are outdated and run down. Couldnt work the tv. old and not able to cast to it, that would have been a convenient option. tea and coffee facilities in the room but again unorganised and no attention to detail. kettle, tick, tv tick, bed tick, no real attention to detail, organisation or presentation. I was only here to sleep and shower, as I was visiting family but if you need to stay stay, like at the facility, this would not be my go to option. There was no real comfortable common area to lounge in, outside was not really interesting. Someone came in quite late and I was woken up a bit startled as it sounded as if it were in my room. Carpets or mats in the hallways might improve keeping the foot traffic noise down. The window was also cracked and taped up with sticky tape, which didnt improve the coldness or the noise from the wind or outside. Sorry. I hope that this helps you improve. It is a lovely old place and this is why i choose, along with the cost.
