The location is really good, the staff were friendly. The proximity to the train station and whole foods, along with a nice little diner and other food is great. The kitchen was clean and useful (if bare bones), and the hotel outside our room felt clean and functional.

Both beds were really unfortunate - lumpy bad pillows and pretty awful mattresses, not nice or comfortable. Especially the sofa bed, which was a total no-go. Strongly recommend against using the sofa beds. It was like staying at a great-aunt's house where all the furniture is from the 60s, sagging springs and thinnest mattress I've seen in a long while. A couple of pretty basic cleanliness issues - a very dirty sock from a previous customer was next to the bed and some, well, looked like pubic hair was still around the bath and even faucet:-/ The $7 bottled water in the room kind of says it all: "This isn't anything special here. But you have to pay premium for the absolute basics." I guess we paid that high price for the location but next time I'll make sure if I pay that much we get something clean and comfortable, even if it's far out of town. The walls and door also didn't seem well-insulated because we heard everyone who walked by, every snippet of conversation, and then - very loudly, as if they were in our room - the people entering and leaving neighboring rooms. It was a bummer overall, we slept really badly.
