The Great House is very near to the Ferry terminal. Good - staff friendly, pool is excellent (suggest a couple of Umbrellas and maybe sunbed cushions), comfortable bed. Not so good - fridge didnt work, shower was faulty but fixed when advised to the Reception. Had breakfast one day which tbh wasnt great, overcooked scrambled egg. As there are no snacks or food available during day/evening we went next door to Fort George hotel if we needed anything when by pool, you are definitely missing a trick not having food available. Ive stayed at Great House 3 times now and tbh this trip was probably the last, Sorry but I just need more if stayi g for a few days

The front desk person was nice. The accommodations with stairs only was really bad with our luggage, carting it up three flights of steep stairs. The smell was unbearable like an old musty, place. We ended up leaving within the hour we couldn’t stand it any longer, so we stayed at another hotel.

"Tutto perfetto"

La vicinanza alla stazione dei bus e al porto per andare alle isole è fondamentale. L'hotel è a circa 150 metri, non c'è alcun bisogno di prendere taxi, anche se si ha una valigia. Pulizia impeccabile, zero insetti e zanzariere alle finestre (apribili). Recepcionista che parla solo inglese (non parla spagnolo come in tutte le reception di hotel di buon livello) però disponibilissima per qualsiasi esigenza informativa su tour o acquisto sim card. La stanza oltre all'aria condizionata ha il ventilatore sul soffitto, ottimo per chi non ama l'aria condizionata. Pavimento con parquet, edificio in legno e stanza in stile coloniale inglese, antica ma tutto perfettamente funzionante.

Coloro che hanno problemi di deambulazione devono considerare che si accede alla reception e alle stanze solamente a piedi attraverso delle scale. L'hotel non ha servizio di colazione interno. Le stanze con "terrazza vista mare" non hanno una terrazza propria, con il termine "terrazza vista mare" si intende che la terrazza dove tutti possono accedere ha una vista mare (in realtà la vista mare non c'è più poiché hanno costruito un grande edificio che la nasconde).
