Hampton Inn St Louis- at the Arch

Good location. Staff was outstanding!

Lighting in the room needs to be updated- everything was very dim. Bed too close to the bathroom door so we had to keep shuffling each other to let us in and out. Cord on coffee machine so short it was hard to plug in anywhere without stacking it up on something.

We booked this hotel for it was a close was to the arc, it had free breakfast and had an indoor pool for the kids to play in. It was an easy walk to the arch, 10 to 15 minute walk. The Pool was nice,the water was warm in the pool. The room was clean and comfortable. We felt comfortable there at the hotel with security they have installed. You need to use your room card to get in any door and access any elevator. Parking was $20 but that was cheaper than most of the other hotels there in St. Louis, parking is a premium in St. Louis so it is expected to pay something for parking.

The road in front of the hotel was closed, not sure why but it was blocked off but it made it difficult to find the entrance of the hotel. The other part we did not like was poor written directions, there were none. It would've been nice to have a card with amenities available, where they were located and the times that they were available. Yes I understand they tell you at the front desk, but if you're there alone, there's a lot to take in with directions on where to park, how to access the parking garage, what floors of the parking garage are available for you to park on, where your room is, what elevator to take, what time breakfast is, what time the pool closes, what doors you need your card to access the hotel, what events are around the hotel......... We missed out on breakfast for it is not the same on the weekdays. Hours of breakfast change from weekend to weekdays. Also, while trying to leave one of the cleaning ladies told us that we were to be out by 11. I'm pretty sure checkout is by 12:00 PM. Wifi access is not the clearest on what is need to access it.

The staff was very friendly, the room was big, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was very good. Also, the pool was pretty big, we loved it.

It's next to a highway, so walking around isn't an option.

Clean, safe and comfortable place to stay. Close to Busch Stadium. The staff was awesome especially Brittany who was so pleasant when we checked in and out. Always was smiling and cheerful on our 2 day stay. If in the St. Louis area this is a good place to stay.

The guy that checked me in was very pleasant.

Lots of long black hairs in the shower. Nothing felt particularly clean in the room. Not a great area of town and not many dining options
