Nevada City Inn

This is, without a doubt, the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Filthy room, filthy bathroom, unfriendly employees, insects in the room, caught fleas from the bedding, a foul-mouthed argument and fight broke out between a guest and the employees. Police had to be called via 911. Every plug was inoperable, the toilet was foul, the curtains were inadequate. The door would not operate or lock. We couldn't get away from this garbage dump fast enough.

Definitely a dump. Every room smells like cigarettes strange stains everywhere, greasy carpet. It's really more of a hostel/shelter than a hotel. Okay as long as it's cheap. Anything more than $70/night for this place is a rip-off.

The convenience of location

No breakfast no service for housekeeping and expensive for the quality gotten

Enjoyed outdoor space. Renovations would improve overall quality

The cleanliness

Very accommodating and non judgemental. It made this comfortable for us during a difficult situation we were going thru and that in itself makes it a good place to stay.

A bit of a conflict in communication between the employee and the owners. I feel the employees deserve a bit more approval, support and respect for what they do.

Zero stars. This place should no doubt be condemned, I arrived late in the evening for my room, it was about 10pm maybe 15 minutes past. The room had been reserved and paid for 3 weeks in advance. When I got to the property the gentleman (I'll keep all personnel judgments to myself) behind the counter was very confused about how to use the computer let alone find my reservation in the first place. Even after I gave him all information that he could possibly need including the reservation number my phone number that date that I made the reservation first and last name and whatever else you could imagine. He said I'm sorry but we gave away your room. Please remember check in time was after 3pm on a prepaid reservation so, my room should not have been just given away. There was a large event in the area that was going on for a long weekend. T,F,S nights. Due to the size of event and amount of people from in and out of the country, there were absolutely no rooms available to make this issue and easier. Then all of a sudden he said oh wait here's a room and this was after standing there waiting for him for about 45 minutes. Because it's just down this way and he started walking it was very very dark the place was not well lit there were unmarked stairs coming up out of nowhere very high staires as well. . So when we go to look at the room he knocks on one door and says housekeeping and then immediately puts his key in and opens up the door and there were customers in that room! So down a few more very poorly lit yards he got to another room ahead of me. He opened the door and he pulled a Shop-Vac out of the room he tried to hide it like I wasn't going to see. (Hello dude big feaking YELLOW Shop-Vac. Please keep in mind this is no joke. I have never had an experience anything ever like this place in my life.
