The Hythe, a Luxury Collection Resort, Vail

Great location and good facilities

Forgotten about at the bar after ordering drink. The French fries we ordered had been sitting for a while and tasted old. Felt ignored by waitress at breakfast and had to go to entrance for bill.

We just stayed 2 nights to celebrate my 50th birthday and Charlie from the Concierge arranged with my husband to surprise me with a bottle of wine and beautiful room decorations. We booked a Mountain View balcony room and we very much enjoyed our view of the slopes both pre snow and during the 1st snow of the season. It was magical! On our first night we had a light dinner at Revel and took advantage of the whiskey tasting and s’mores. The location cannot be beat. Every employee at the restaurants was very friendly and attentive. The only negative had to do with our interactions with Simmon the front desk employee. He kept calling us on our cellphone and room phone alleging the credit card on file had failed. He ruined our last evening at the hotel. We later confirmed with another front desk employee that there was no issue. It seems he needs training not only with the credit card system, but on how to communicate with guests. This is the 1st time in 30 years we have been married and traveling that this has happened to us anywhere in the world. Even today, both of our credit cards still show several pending charges even though it was already charged and posted on our Marriott and credit card accounts. We are Titanium members who travel quite a bit and we have never encountered such a weird and annoying attitude.

Cannot speak highly enough about Susan from the coffee shop! She was so kind and professional and made everyone in our family very happy with their drinks. We would come back just to see her again! Thanks for making our stay that much more memorable.

Номер был забронирован на сайте booking.com, основным критериям по выбору номера являлись фотографии, забронировали номер с фотографиями газового камина на улице, для меня было важно получить номер терраса и газовым камином на первом этаже. Только у этих категории номеров на фотографиях номера присутствует газовый камин на улице, по приезду в отель персонал сказал то что фотографии не соответствуют действительности и такой номер не предоставил, сказали что это не их проблемы, проблемы сайта Bookingcom. Им и предъявляйте претензии. Мы потеряли на стойке ресепшена около полутора часов разбираясь в этой проблеме. Номер на котором мы рассчитывали так и не был предоставлен, то что на сайте booking.com отель сам размещает всю информацию включаю фотографии номеров и категории персонал во внимание не брал. Из-за того что отель Большой, на завтра была большая очередь, и это принимаем внимание что не сезон, вынуждены были пойти позавтракать в город, чтобы не стоять очередь.

Really nice hotel. We took a last minute trip here from Denver to see the fall colors. The resort fee and parking fee (totaling more than $130 after tax, per day) are just absurdly high for what the hotel offers but that’s all we had to pay due to a great redemption rate and a 50k free night certificate. Looking at it from that perspective it was a deal- not crowded, no wait for anything, had the pool to ourselves all night, beautiful view from the room, and the staff was great. We’re only Gold level with Bonvoy but they gave us an amazing room, late check out, free breakfast, and the smores and whiskey tasting were great. Would recommend this hotel highly to folks looking to use free night certificates, but can’t recommend it otherwise due to the cost and the added resort and parking fees.
