Motel 6-Amarillo, TX - Airport

No issues. Hotel room was reasonably clean, everything worked, bed was pretty comfortable. Despite the proximity to the highway, it was quiet. It was hard to tell as a traveler if this area is safe or not, but I didn't have any issues staying for one night. Parking lot was well lit.

The sheets and towels seemed clean, but had stains, and the bath towels were small. The bathroom was poorly lit with only one dull light, so it seemed clean but I may not have noticed. Also there weren't many stairways to the second floor, so carrying things up and to the room was a chore, especially with a dog in tow. Nothing too major.

Rooms are very small for the price of $73 in Amarillo TX. The bed is hard as can be. The floor was dirty up in arrival. I had to mop them by hand twice before I could move my things in. There are aggressive dogs getting through the fence and one has actually attacked the maintenance man's girlfriend. They e ganged up on other dogs and killed a renters poodle.

Church set this reservation up for me and they spoke with Jackiilyn on October 23, 2025 and she failed to book my room. They made it crystal clear that I have three well taken care of ESA Animals. I got there after going to Hell and back and the Manager Mac Patel questioned me loudly about the room being booked as if we were lying and he didn't make whomever should have booked it accountable for dropping the ball. Then he got really upset about my animals. He wasn't going to let me stay and I was brought there with a full van by the church with the last bit of everything I own. He was demeaning and dismissive . I get into the room and I literally have wet rags for each dog because the parking lot is nasty and I don't want my pets coming in and out of the room tracking that yuk in. I even switch shoes and I mop several times a day on my hands and knees.leave my pets unattended and I cleaned up after then about 50% of the time. Their poop bags are really thin and way too small so I asked for a couple bags and he gets mad saying, he pays for them and I can buy them from him. What a jerk!!! Alright then I'm leaving their poop cuz I'm not gonna get it on me cuz you are cheap. On Sunday a house keeper comes to my door yelling at me about a small garbage bag I had just set at my door. I needed to put my dog away and switch shoes to go through it away. She was banging on the door and I was in the middle of getting my 17 old dog outside to do potty. She was scared so she peed and the lady starts accusing me of cleaning her pee n poo with their towels. I corrected her because that WAS NOT the case. She refused to hold a conversation with me and told Mac that I was cleaning their potty w the towels. He insisted on doing a room check with her. I handed them towels and said, now does this look like they have pee and poo on them.

Location- I felt safe walking my dog Front desk gal was friendly and helpful

Sheets were very stained- I asked for a clean set- made me feel more comfortable Floors were dirty needed to be swept/moped
