Baymont by Wyndham Clute Lake Jackson

There was no coffee maker in room, the breakfast consisted of eggs with sausage and nothing else. The coffee in the breakfast area had no creamer available. Both the orange juice machine and pancake maker were broken or not set up to run. I was charged a deposit if 50 dollars which was supposed to be refunded but has apparently been charged to my card without cause.

There were so many problems. The first room had a non working tv and shower that did not work. The shower hose was missing. The nozzle was missing and the handlebars in the shower were completely broken. When we complained to the front desk, they let us know that the room should have been noted as "out of order." They offered us a different room. The second room was found to have german cockroaches. Several were found in the room, including three live crawling ones in the bed!! We reported this issue to the front desk, and then they offered a third room. Since we already had a room that hadn't had any issues, we declined the third room and all of us stayed cramped into one of the rooms that didn't have too many issues. We did end up noticing roaches in that room as well, and in another room that we had. The breakfast was not available at all. The place was very dirty. It smelt like mold.The floors were dirty. They didn't have the amenities that they said were offered. The staff seem to be unavailable and or outside partying with what seemed to be homeless people. When we did complain, we seemed dismissed or as if we were bothering the staff. Our stay was tremendously horrible!!! The best part about it was that we were able to leave and go to the beach. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN. AND I WILL BE LEAVING A REVIEW TO LET OTHER PEOPLE KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT A HOTEL THAT IS FOR ANY FAMILY SEARCHING FOR A VACATION. This place is more for riff raff.

Rooms smelled and were dirty, broken fixtures, roaches in the rooms. We were moved to a “better room” with the same issues.

There was NO breakfast AT ALL any mornings; other families allowed their children to scream, and yell in the hallways while slamming doors repeatedly for days!!!!!

Be careful when booking this hotel through the platform. When I arrived, the hotel informed me that my reservation was under OYO and could not be accepted. Because the booking was non-refundable, I lost the money I had already paid and had to pay again for another room. This was a problem caused by the booking platform, not by me. Even after I filed a complaint, the platform refused to issue a refund. I hope other travelers can avoid the same experience.
