Vila Papagaio Verde by An Island Apart

Great location in a well-sunny spot with beautiful ocean and city views. House is spacious, bright and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. An excellent base for exploring Madeira. We will certainly return here.

Minor things... but insignificant

Fantastic place with perfect view over the city, ocean and montains, 10 minutes from Funchal by Bolt or taxi, bus station 1 minute walk. We loved the bedrooms and terrace with sun beds, it helped a lot it had a garage as we rented a car. Also it had 2 bathrooms with showers and extra 2 just with toilettes wich was perfect for our group of 6 people. Good amount of hot water and instant, I was very impressed how fast it was once turned on.

The beds and pillows are not of best quality, we only got one big towel per person for 6 nights, would have been good at least second smaller towel for all of us, we only had 2 of them. The windows although amazingly big and with breathtaking views were a bit dirty. The place has all the necessities of a kitchen but it would have been good to have a capsules expresso machine, it seems it only caters to english/american guests with the filter machine. All been said and done the location, the space, the terrace and ammenities are great and these are more suggestions for improvements for when we return rather than negatives.
