Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Bridgeport

Hotel representative refused to cancel my second night. Said I would be charged if I didn't contact booking.com to change the dates. Only reason I had to cancel is cause plans changed at work.

No breakfast even though it states they have breakfast. Room was plain no pictures no carpet. Nothing fancy just a bed and tv. Front desk was not polite or welcoming.

This is a hard working group and they keep the facility clean despite the mostly Constuction guys passing through. I give em' 5 stars!!

The lobby and room had bad sweaty smell

The room had a micro & frig. The coffee pot is one of those slide in filter PKG that tastes like a wet sock. If u wait till 6 it's in the lobby (that's all), but very week. The rooms were clean and large. Owner/mgrs were very pleasant & accommodating if asked.

The owners/mgrs are stingy. I learned not to say I'm traveling alone. At arrival there was 1/4 roll of TP, no back up. I towel, 1 wash cloth. I asked for more and they graciously accommodated. Coffee at 6 is weak, again they're cutting corners where they can. I stayed 5 days so this was an issue. Probably for 1 night not so much and they know that. Beds were not great. My back /hip had issues after the 2nd night by the last I was glad I was done. TV remote seemed to have issues not the battery. Also they may have direct TV but none of the movies channels or the weather channel worked. Pretty much stuck with local tv. Again, I was there for 5 days. 1 night no big deal.

The facility was very clean. The shower had a mat to ensure it wasn't slippery. There was a mini-fridge in my room. My room was spacious, and I had a separate seating area with a small sofa. The facility was very quiet.

I think my bed must have had a part broken on it because it made a banging sound when I first sat on the bed and when I turned over. The TV was quirky. I liked that it had Direct TV, but for some reason changing channels, etc. proved to be a little difficult. I had to hold the remote just right and try several times for it to work.
