The unique quirky nature of the hotel is excellent, its architecture is rooted in the Belle Epoque era, built late 1800 or early 1900´s. Its not boring, its not vanilla in appearance, its cool and unique in every way. Rooms are a good size and well presented, they have a brilliant pool and surrounding environment. You wont have an issue lounging around it, because you dont have an onlooking massive restaurant overlooking the pool like so many hotels have. No one wants to be onshow for the onlookers, if you know what I mean. There is plenty of restaurants and you are only a quick UBer to Cascais or the other direction to Lisbon. The hotel has a cool bar open around wine O´clock or open all day near the pool. Good breakfast in the delightful restaurant in the mornings. On arrival you will receive personal welcoming notes, pastel denata´s (Portuguese tarts, fresh and excellent) Has a good bar fridge, wine etc.

IF you have stayed in NY, UK, any of the old cities many times, you will realise hotels of this era rarely have big bathrooms, this old gem is the same, but its liveable, is nicely appointed, has a nice bath thats comfortable for 2. The Hotel does not have much parking, we were lucky we secured one right out the front. One previous visit here, we left the vehicle in a close parking station, it wasnt expensive or there is free parking around the Casino. All good and easy.

Staff was super kind, hotel is located in a very beautiful area. The hotel itself is a beautiful old Charlet.

Extremely comfortable and clean with very helpful staff. The breakfast is very good and The location is perfect and within walking distance from the beach
