There are many government agencies tasked with managing the ecosystem in the wildlife areas of Tanzania. Please note that any fees, charges, or concessions levied by these institutions must be paid at the lodge reception or the entrance gate, along with any applicable Tourism Development Levies, Village Fees, and Gate Fees. Your reservation does not include an overnight tax of US$29.50 per adult per night and US$23.80 per child (5 – 17 years) per night, mandated by the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA). Additionally, a Tourism Development Levy and a Village Fee of $2.50 per person per night are required. It is recommended that you contact the lodge at least 72 hours before your stay to arrange payment of these additional charges. We accept MasterCard and Visa. Please be advised that all credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 3%. Cancelations made within 60 days of arrival will incur 100% cancelation fees. Additionally, prepayment is required 60 days prior to arrival. Failure to remit payment by the deadline will result in the reservation being released. When booking 6 rooms or more, prepayment is required immediately, and any cancelation will incur 100% penalties. "Good location at Lake Natron, nice pool, value-for-money could be better"

We stayed for 3 nights at Africa Safari Lake Natron. Location was good, near the banks of Lake Natron, with a great view of Ol Doinyo Lengai Volcano and the Lake. Activities with our local Masaai Guide Lembu were fun & he told us about culture & life. We loved the swimming pool, which was beautiful and great for cooling off after a long, hot day.

Overall we felt like the value-for-money was not great. Only breakfast was included, dinner & lunch came on top. The cleanliness of the rooms was okay - the floor was still dusty after housekeeping and the towels were not changed, although left on the floor (after being very dirty). The water pressure was very low (this was due to monkeys & Masaai farmers putting holes in pipes) and the staff friendliness was okay but not exceptional.

"Gem of our trip"

Great place, super friendly and professional staff - some of the best we met across Northern Tanzania and Zanzibar. Hotel is 15 minutes walking distance to the lake with all its amazing abundance of birds. We went there by ourselves and enjoyed meeting a team of zebras in the bushes nearby :) Bring local Masai if you are not comfortable walking on your own in African nature. Chilling in the pool with awesome views was a special delight on hot afternoons. Rooms are all new, clean and taken care of. There was no wifi when we were there, so the hotel manager offered to share his 3g hotspot - did not work well enough anyway, but being in a distant area of Africa that is not a surprise. Keep in mind that lake Natron is a windy spot, so the tent may go noisy at night. That did not create any inconvenience to us though

"Quiet time in a unique setting"

Absolutely incredible time at Lake Natron - definetely worth the (slightly) challenging drive. Staying at Africa Safari only made it better - Edwin the manager and his team were super attentive, the pool was perfect and the tents were in perfect condition. The excursions organised through the camp we’re great quality - the guide Samuel was very knowledgable and spoke a good level of english. Would highly recommend everyone to stay there a relaxing, unique time.
