Civic Center Motor Inn

Bed was uncomfortable, pillows were lumpy, room was very very used. Carpet had pulls, desk chair was dirty - I put a towel over it. Staff was friendly and courteous. Exterior of the building looks sharp but none of that overcame my room condition.

Listen, this place is cheap. The neighborhood is rough. I closed the curtains and I can still hear people rummaging around. Lots of folks on the street looking for stuff to survive. I get it, you’ve got to survive. Everyone deserves to live. But you should know what you’re getting into. I don’t mind it because I don’t mind chilling in my room watching TV. But it isn’t quiet or super safe for sure.

The rooms were NOT as pictured. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Floors and walls were dirty. I reserved two handicap rooms and only got one. The handicap room didn’t have a fridge which was fine but inconvenient. Property is kind of in the hood which isn’t a big deal for me but we weren’t as relaxed because of the area. The pillows were very small and seemed as though someone picked some cotton and threw it in a sheet and sewed it shut then called it a pillow. For spending over a grand it DID NOT meet expectations. There was one single working outlet in the non handicap room I was placed in. One of the rooms if you looked at the key card sideways you would need to go get it reprogrammed, but they waster pressure was nice! The ac worked perfectly in one room but the other room it was horrible! This places need a ton of improvements to even get to be ok. The water pressure was great. The pool was also out of service which was inconvenient as it was one of the points for choosing this hotel.

First impact , there is a charge of 23 dollars a night for parking , however in the website is not clear that you havr to pay for it so that increase my stay by 70 dollars more . The room was conpmetelly dirty even garbage in the bins , a small towel in the sink full of semen . No outlets to charge a phone . I reportes it and i was moved to another better room .

Only two things almost not worth mentioning, but still doesn’t change my score from excellent. I had to return to the office to get towels cause there were none in the room and the noise level coming from the street.
