"Motel, not Inn"

Our stay at King Frederik Inn was disappointing overall, especially considering the price. The property felt more like a glorified motel than a hotel, and it was quite outdated throughout. The room was not particularly clean upon arrival, and noise was an issue during our stay, making it difficult to fully relax. Parking was also very challenging due to a nearby event, and there didn’t seem to be enough accommodation or guidance for hotel guests dealing with the overflow traffic and congestion. That said, there were a couple positives. The included breakfast was a nice touch, especially the fresh pastries, which were enjoyable. We also appreciated that the hotel allowed a one-night stay over the weekend, since many nearby properties require longer minimum stays. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not match the cost, and for the price point we expected a much cleaner, quieter, and more updated property.

"Fabulous motel in the centre of Solvang"

Fabulous motel in the pretty, quirky little town of Solvang. Room was huge, with patio doors out to the heated pool and jacuzzi. Really comfortable bed, very friendly lady on reception and a free continental breakfast available. Cannot fault the place for the very reasonable price.

"GREAT MOTEL but poor showing by booking.com!"

Great location and friendly staff. They scrambled to find a room for people traveling with us as booking.com canceled their reservation with NO notification! Neither of us will be using booking.com again after this fiasco!
