Convenient location

Easy to find. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

There was no hand soap. No body wash. Sink wouldn't drain. Couldn't adjust the shower head. Cable box was mounted behind the tv so you couldn't change the channel unless you went to the side of the tv. Microwave wasn't plugged in. Complimentary breakfast from 7-9; showed up at 8:10 and it was practically empty. Some bread but no jam. Everything was gone. So be there first thing or end up with no breakfast.

The tv was not working when we arrived in our room, and the staff addressed it immediately and fixed it for us. The hotel was attractive and well landscaped. The room was spacious and well laid out. It had all the necessary amenities. There is a college nearby and historic old town and downtown. It was close to restaurants. It was a good experience overall.

This is an older property that some updates have been done. The housekeeping staff needs to do a thorough job. The floors were filthy. Bathroom on the other hand was clean and smelled of bleach. It is also a noisy neighborhood because of traffic and trains.

The food was all gone when we were there for continental breakfast The bathtub was disgusting and the flushing on the toilet was not powerful and constantly clogged

The manager, understanding just how terrible the experience was, didn't charge us for the 2 nights we were there, and refunded the entire amount

Condition of the room was the worst I have ever been in. Period. Dark, dingy, flaking tub, barely enough lighting, chunks out of the plaster. Web site advertised a buffet and it was only a basic continental breakfast that was closed and hour before advertised. No heat in the room. Was told the maintenance man would be there at 8:30pm. Got there after 9 and he said nothing could be done till the morning. They had us move to another room upstairs (after already unpacking) which had the fire alarm beeping. Had an associate coming to stay in another room but I wouldn't do that to anyone. Hate to say but there is more.

The room was filthy and not cleaned. There was hair on the beds. The surfaces had not been cleaned with smudges. There was blood on the wall. All the furniture had stains on it. The shower was missing a screen on the window and the soaps were not refilled.

The hotel's location is a definite plus, and the rooms are spacious. However, the cleanliness of the hotel significantly detracts from the overall experience.

A major inconvenience is the room cleaning service. Guests must inform the reception 24 hours in advance for a room cleaning. Even after requesting service, the cleaning quality is poor. Towels are never replaced, and they often have a foul smell from the start. Throughout my 12-day stay, the towels remained unchanged, and there was no hand soap provided. I had to use shampoo to wash my hands. When the staff did empty the trash, they didn't replace the bag. Surfaces were never wiped down, and overall cleanliness was lacking. Considering the high season rate of $120 per night, the service received was disappointing. If you plan to stay here, bring your own towels and be prepared for subpar cleanliness.
