Red Roof Inn Scottsburg

Manager was rude. Wanted my credit card for "incedentles". I refused to give it to him telling him that there wasn't going to be any incedentals. The room smelled like smoke. There were people smoking and drinking on the balcony above the room. Wouldn't recommend that place to anyone.

Property in disrepair and poor condition. Sloppy paint job in room. Bed cover visibly unclean. Fixtures missing. Not enough water pressure to wash shampoo out of my hair. Noisy - less than 50 yards from a MCDonalds drive-through. Tolerated overnight for less than 12 hrs because traveling with dog and just needed somewhere to sleep. I knew, before staying, that RR Inns are “hit or miss” and picked the property largely due to pet policy and price. This RR Inn property is definitely “a miss” & I wouldn’t stay here again.

Room was not clean. You could see light from outside coming into the room around the door. Door lock was not capable of stopping someone from breaking into the room. I had booked 2 nights but was so disgusted with the room I never went back. No way to get a refund for the second night for a room I couldn't stand to stay in for another night. I'm out $95 due to bad management and terrible motel conditions!!!!!

It was fine for a cheap place to stay for the night on the road with my dog. Kind of average as Red Roof Inns go. No frills, not even a coffee pot in the lobby.

The room was fine. Great shower.

Front desk staff were totally rude. Glared at me both times I was up there. Was told there were no king rooms. Motel was completely empty. They used the language barrier to keep from explaining things. Had to return the next day to get my cash deposit back. Woof floors were scary slippery.
