We loved our stay at The Wayfinder in March 2026. When we first pulled up, we were worried we might have picked the wrong place to stay due to the closed casino across the street and location near the highway, but once inside, we loved the immaculate interior with retro design. It’s a renovated old/school motor lodge with a full restaurant/bar. All the staff members we interacted with were super friendly, helpful, and professional. They upgraded us to a suite which was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. It was so clean and bright- we especially loved the comfy bed linens. We had delicious drinks and shrimp cocktail at the bar (yum!) and had brunch there the next morning too, which was excellent. Our server, Ashley, was sweet and accommodating, carefully checking with the chef about my food allergy. The hotel ran the new shuttle for the Saturday night of St Patrick’s Day weekend and provided free service into downtown, about a 7 min drive. Van driver, Eddie was great- positive attitude and kind. For the rest of our stay, we used Lyft to get to downtown which was simple and inexpensive. We will definitely stay at The Wayfinder again!

The staff were so friendly and approachable, hotel was spotless, room was a great size, had ample free parking, overall excellent hotel. Also very close to shops and some restaurants

Distance to town, was not possible to walk to town would need to use some form of transport.

Great experience at the recently renovated Wayfinder hotel

This was meant to be a relaxing weekend trip while visiting colleges with my son. After a lot of research, I chose the Wayfinder and our first night was honestly wonderful. The room was larger than expected, stylishly decorated, spotless, and shockingly quiet. Anyone who stays in hotels often knows how rare that is. No hallway noise, no slamming doors. It felt peaceful and restful, exactly what we needed. Unfortunately, the second night could not have been more different. After a long day of college tours, we returned to the hotel after dinner hoping to unwind before an early drive home. Instead, there was a loud party happening in the room next to us. When I stepped into the hallway to locate the noise, I found two women holding balloons, waiting to surprise a birthday guest. When I mentioned the noise to the front desk, the response was essentially that they were already aware and had seen the balloons come in. I was told they would keep an eye on the situation, but 30 minutes later the noise was still going strong. I knocked on the neighboring door to politely ask them to be mindful of the very thin walls. When the door opened, the smell of marijuana was overwhelming. I returned to my room and called the front desk again to explain what was happening. Their solution was to slide a note under the door asking the guests to stop. Shortly after that, I went into the bathroom and realized the smell of weed had made its way into our room. At that point, we decided to pack up and leave rather than spend the night surrounded by noise and smoke. I understand marijuana is legal in Rhode Island, and I fully respect people wanting to enjoy themselves. It just was not what I expected or wanted during our stay. The front desk clerk was kind and did what she could within the limits of the situation, and the two stars I am giving are for the excellent first night and for her professionalism. That said, I would not return and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet or restful stay. If, however, you are looking for a hotel that doubles as a party spot, the Wayfinder may be exactly what you want.

Great location and a wonderful hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and so pleasant ! We were addressed by 1st names by the staff and were always asked if we needed anything. The restaurant was really good !
