Econo Lodge Thomaston

I booked this hotel on the way into town, the place I had lined up had fallen through. I arrive at the hotel about 2am, upon checking in we were greeted in a very rude manner. Once we got into the room, I was unable to get much sleep due to the dirty sheets and heavy odor of smoke in the carpet. The bathroom was so small that the door hits the toilet when opening, you kind of have to force it to open. The hotel did not have very many guests, which was fine by us, however we had been hoping for a late check out. We were told no to a late check (we arrived in the middle of the night and were very tired) even after offering money to do so. Still unsure why late check in was no granted as NO one was in the hotel. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone going to the area.

Need to treat for pest, roaches.

I travel very often. I never have hotel call me to force me to cancel my reservation. This guy call me 24 hours before I check in to cancel my reservation because all the room were booked. He want me to make a reservation at a different Hotel. I called them back and this guy who claim to be the manager by the name Sam Padal hang up on us twice. This was crazy.

I have spent the past 5 nights here for work. When checking in I was greeted with a smile as I walked through the door. They gave me a room that was exactly what I asked for. My room was clean and of a nice size. It has a nice flat screen TV mounted on the wall and a good selection of channels. The air and heat work very good and the shower has good water pressure. It appears that they are updating the rooms a little at a time. The room I was in could use a new refrigerator but the one in it works. There is a iron and ironing board and a small coffee pot (not one of those one cup things). I was very quiet and I have had no issues at all. The room has been cleaned daily which included fresh towels. The only complaint I would have is they need to update the pillows. They are a little flat with only 3 on a king size bed. I carry my own with me so it was no big deal. If I work in this area again I will be coming back here to stay.

Average hotel but not very clean. They really need to pay attention to some details. Some of this stuff is like okay they forgot to get that corner and their is a crumb. Other things are blatently like “how did a housekeeper even miss that”. The rate was also kind of high for such a dirty place.

Thomaston has a few hotels on the main drag and they are all very average. I have stayed here twice and it could easily be a much better property but I doubt it will happen, The guy at check-in never said hello, questioned me like a cop, never smiled. Hospitality was not his forte. The rooms are passable and clean. The Wifi is very weak.....could not stream anything. They have nice TVs but an analog signal which makes no sense. Why spend funds on new TVs and fail to upgrade service? For the money it's the best deal in town.

I stayed for a weekend They never changed the sheets or pillow cases All they did was make the bed with dirty sheets Just cause no stains are seen doesn't mean the sheets are clean. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Customer service not so great. However rates are reasonable and it was clean. Close to shopping.

hotel was under construction, lots of highway noise. basic room, not exceptionally clean and staff was right on top of us at checkout time - no leeway at all.
