Banana & Tropycal Apartment

A great place to stay 2 minutes to the centre of Torremolinos and 5minutes to the beach

Second time I have stayed here. It is really nice for a solo traveller. I had nothing to mark down on last time.

There seems to be a significant problem with ants and not just on the floor. I emptied my water bottle one morning and they'd somehow got inside it. They crawled in the bed and often found myself trying to get them off me at night.

Comfortable bed, great shower and the location very good. That’s where the positives end.

Wifi didn’t work from the very beginning and no attempt was made to find out what the issue was by the host. The balcony was disgusting, full of bird droppings, sun loungers were dirty and didn’t feel like somewhere you’d want to spend time out on.

There is nithing to like abiut this place, there are so many hotels fir the same price bigger cleanear and not as outdated

First of all, the lady who was supposed to do the check-in was not there at the appointment and made me wait 30 minutes telling me that she has many apartments to manage..the place is really awful, small furniture from 30 years ago, so crammed u cannot move. The bathroom was full of ants, and u could not move, old and full.of mould. Everything is so basic. That terrace is unfinished dirty walls buckets and mop around , the lounge chairs so old and dirty that you dont want to lie down. I was really disappointed with how the pictures do not match what i have seen.

Location

The lies, the building work from 8 am till 7pm just feet from apartment. Did not tell us and were not interested in helping...awfully. the noise was horrific

the people managing the apartment are not responsive at all neither via booking nor WhatsApp. there’s was a tiny amount of the liquid soap which was already hidden in one of the drawers that can not even be used and not able to pump the liquid up because the amount is not sufficient. they have added a water to the shower gel so they don’t buy a new one. the coffee machine is dirty and has not been used for decades as lot of the craps came out when I wanted to have coffee. there were aunts in the apartment. the chairs in the terrace are dirty and one of the chair is almost gonna get broken. they are very strict with the cleaning but they can not clean the apartment well themselves and they don’t provide you with plastic bags for the garbage. they just want to make money and not care about their clients and they will only be response at the moment or the check in.

central location, comfortable bed, great shower, all facilities you need for a short stay including iron, hairdryer, fridge, kettle, air con, outside balcony with sea view, clean and a welcoming host

no signage on outside of property to tell you its there, tight stairwell for larger suitcase, wallpaper pealing off the wall, had to dispose of own rubbish in small outside street bins
