Best Western Longview

The property was located close to Longview Regional, and provided exceptional service during my stay.

There was a limited amount of parking space available for the facilities, but I was able to park without any problems.

Lobby was not welcoming. Rugs and mats were dirty. When issued assigned room, the mattress was broken down. It cracked and popped when sat upon. The TV did not work. Room was dirty and had a bad smell. We were offered a different room when we asked.

There are definitely restaurants in walking distance that are in the parking lot. There was a sign that said you cannot rent if you live within 40 miles. I asked and very nice lady at the front desk if it was because of parties and she said yes, and for other reasons. I asked if it’s a hooker hotspot And she said yes. After that, I was freaked out about sleeping in the place. It was not a very good facility, but the lady was nice.

Carpet design needs updated

This hotel is dated, the front desk and lobby are in good shape, new carpets, in the hallways and room, but the room itself, the washroom, the beds and furniture are old and need updating. Can't say it was clean, the corners are dirty, food sauce on the radio, spend a few dollars more elsewhere, not sure how it got the ratings it has.

Location: Easy access of 281. Next door to a Texas Longhorn restaurant. Staff: Friendly, competent. Room: Good size with a small couch. The floor on one side of the bed was wet. We reported the leak. Stopper in sink did not release. Toilet paper and facial tissues were ridiculously thin. Good mattress. Breakfast: Subpar. Powdered scrambled eggs were dry. Bacon was thin and over microwaved. It crumbled on the touch. No peanut butter, water, English muffins, or bagels. All the cereal was sweetened, e,g, Sugar Pops, Fruit Loops. The desk clerk was also the breakfast attendant. Fitness Center: Subpar. Very small room. One elliptical, one treadmill and one bike. The treadmill did not work. The clerk later said he fixed it. No weights. No floor mats and no place to lay them. Price: With taxes the price was $96. This makes up for the shortcomings for some guests.
