Best Western Detroit Livonia

Very happy with this choice. Smooth check-in thanks to Erik. Clean comfortable room. Lighting could be brighter in the room, but many hotels seem to be cutting back on bright lighting in room. Breakfast was good with the usual choices. We would stay here again.

The bed was comfortable. The staff was pleasant. The continental breakfast was fair.

The hotel itself is a bit run down. There was peeling wallpaper and a dirty sock was left under the bed which we did not see until our last day.

While the staff at this property were consistently courteous and helpful, the condition of the rooms left much to be desired. My first room had visible stains, and the refrigerator was completely out of service. I requested a room change, and although the second room had a functioning refrigerator, it still contained someone else’s leftover food. Additionally, the secondary lock was broken, which raised concerns about security. At that point, I was too tired to request another room, but the overall cleanliness was disappointing. The room felt dated, musty, and only partially cleaned. This significantly impacted the quality of my stay. Although the staff did their best, the maintenance and housekeeping standards require substantial improvement. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again.

The location was good. Close to the freeway, food and entertainment.

The room was not as clean as it should’ve been. The toilet was very, very low I had to flop down on it and it was difficult to stand. In this day and age I’ve grown used to certain amenities at a hotel: lamps or desks with charger ports, good lighting in the bathroom, coffee maker (cups and coffee were in the room but no coffee maker). The breakfast left a lot to be desired as well.

Room was clean and in very good shape.
