The staff in the bar could be a little more efficient. The property is quirky which is what you should expect of a property Of this age. The breakfast is the best I have tasted,

A beautiful listed building, with many a winding corridor. So many beautiful rooms. Our room had a four poster bed, which fit in with setting beautifully. Fantastic meals and hats off to the chef! Great portions, always hot when it arrived at the table and no lengthy wait either. Reasonably priced too, which is always a bonus. Lovely polite staff and always smiling, great for knowledge of the local area and recommendations. Excellent location for exploring and car park at the back too.

Relaxed and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

The property was warm and cozy with lots of history. A very large property but easy to navigate.
