Good location within easy walk of the beach and the main facilities of the village. It was great that we could check in slightly early, as given that we were arriving on a Sunday from Barnstaple by bus we had limited control over our arrival time, a choice of too early or quite late. Check-in allowed us time to enjoy the beach, shops, refreshments before they closed for the day and then enjoy the pub garden in the evening. When we were leaving staff were helpful with information on local area.

Only a small thing: the door lock was a little stiff (physical key rather than electronic one, which is increasingly rare these days!) and I feared I’d locked myself out. But it just needed a bit of brute force!

Friendly staff and good parking

It's a pub so will not have the same feel as a hotel but I have no negative comments to make

Comfortable, clean, good location and helpful staff. A unique building in a wonderful setting. Food was good and well kept ales.

Toilets upstairs! Only awkward due to my mobility issues.
