Best Western Gateway to the Keys

I had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for your next travel adventure.

The AC didn’t work very well and the toilet was broke, had to keep taking the lid off in order to flush!!!!

Amazing location for Everglades and other local attractions. Large clean rooms, great pool area, friendly and helpful staff, perfect to start a road trip to the Keys

This property was the best for the money

Good location to explore the Everglades Natl. Park, The Keys and the Alligator Farm. Our room had a musty smell. The sheets felt damp. I don't know if this is just Florida's humidity or what. The room looked dated and still had the old popcorn ceilings. The bed was a bit saggy, but not too bad. Florida City is not an upscale location. Although we did not have any problems during our visit, some precaution is in order with your surroundings and your valuables. The room did not have a safe. Having a lock for your suitcase is advised. There were ample breakfast choices, including eggs and meats, yogurt, waffles and breads. We arrived very early, due to getting off a cruise and they allowed us to sit in the dining room, use wifi and restrooms while we waited for our room. We could have paid $30 extra for an early arrival, but chose not to. The pool area is a nice place to sit and watch the kids swim. Overall, this place was more reasonably priced than other choices, but you get what you pay for. If I were to come this way again, I would probably pay more for a better hotel, but then, if you have a budget, this place is OK.

The employees was nice. Made me feel like I was at home. The one who stood at the most is the lady at the front desk who book my room very nice. I wish I remember her name because I would like to get her a shout out.

The service is excellent but the room is not in a good condition. Very simple and not so comfort.

Unusually rude staff that is serving breakfast. Went there around 9:00 for breakfast that lasts until 10:00. They were out of all main items that make breakfast: out of eggs and sausage, out of waffle dough and out of milk for cereal. Well when I found the person who is in charge of the area she clearly was annoyed about the ask is she could refill the items. It is not what she said but how she said it, the tone and facial expression. Room was “OK” but the whole area smells like Raid insect spray.

It was easy to check in and out. The staff were very professional, friendly, and helpful.
