Great Wolf Lodge Bloomington

Our stay in itself was good, unfortunately one very serious concern will prevent us from ever returning to this location. We have 6 young kids and visited for the end of summer break fun and 2 of the kids birthdays. The water park was a blast, pizza was delicious, and room was great. What will prevent us from returning is at 3:45am there was a firm knock on our door (despite our do not disturb sign being out). My husband scurried to get his shirt on when the knock repeated a little louder. He looked out the peep hole and the person on the other side of the door had the peep hole covered so he couldn't see anything. The knock occurred one more time. We called the front desk to report and were told they would alert security. My husband spent the remainder on the night on the floor with his pocket knife under his pillow to protect our family. In the morning there was a note from security that they "investigated the noise complaint" and did not find a source. We do not feel this was taken seriously. This wasn't a noise complaint but a serious safety concern. No right minded person would cover a peep hole and knock at 3:45 am multiple times unless they had very ill intentions (and to do so at an indoor water park that is a popular children's destination is even more disgusting). My husband and I were both very shaken after this incident and highly recommend staying away from this great wolf location for the sake of safety.

Great place to visit!

Room was fantastic as was the water park. Very expensive. Staff was incredibly friendly and professional, although we couldn't get a hold of anyone late at night for amenities. It was hard to say "no" to the many, many other activities available that we couldn't afford because the basic room was so expensive though.

Excellent all around!!! Highly recommend.

My whole family had a great time.

I wish the swim park was open later. That was the main reason for staying at GWL. The parking fee was a bit ridiculous and should be built into the price of the stay. There was a rash of broken car windows in the parking lot when I stayed making me feel a little unsafe. Overall, for my next stay I would put less emphasis on the swim park and look at other hotels.

Great price for outstanding quality

Great resort. Food and drinks are very expensive, but they do accommodate allergies.

To say the least, I don’t know if I’d ever return. It started out good, but came to the time where kids were offered bubble machine toys for a price of around $29 and to later be told by an employee to not blow that much bubbles in the dancing area because people might slip. I don’t understand why it was offered if it wasn’t able to be used there without being told something. Then came time for bed, I pull back the sheet to put my daughter into bed to find a blood stain! Good thing there was extra linen for the pull out sofa we didn’t use. Then to top it all off pretty much everyone in the parking lot woke up to their windows smashed. It was an eventful weekend, but swimming made up for the bad things because the kids definitely enjoyed that and the area was beautiful, the family ride was the best.
