the property was not habitable. the smoke alarm was going off as we entered, there was no way to contact anyone and the worst thing is that the blinds were broken and the bedroom totally visible to the ground floor parking lot. We tried to cancel and get a refund, but it was refused. Do not stay there.

When I arrived at the property, the windows to the bedroom were open to the parking lot. As a solo female traveler, this raised my concerns because the gates around the parking lot were open and anyone could have accessed the apartment through a window. When I opened the door of the apartment, I was greeted by a wave of cigarette smoke smell, and the sound of a file alarm making the loud chirping sound that indicates that the batteries are dying. I immediately noticed particles of dirt and debris on the ground. Upon entering the bedroom, I discovered cigarette ashes on the bedside table, and stains all around the fabric bed frame, including a faded blood smear. There were also stains on the desk in the bedroom and along the wall. The rest of the apartment matched the same filth as the bedroom, and I even found a piece of a fake fingernail on the floor of the bathroom. There were pieces of human hair on the couch and stains all over the wall of the living room. I found more cigarette ashes by the door to the patio, which I discovered to be unlocked. The apartment was on the first floor, and it would not be difficult for someone to climb into the patio area from the street and enter the apartment. On the patio there was a pile of garbage in a corner that appeared to be the belongings of a squatter, including a smashed up yoga mat and a plastic food wrapper. The place was unsanitary and unsafe, so I found a hotel to stay at. The property owner was very rude to communicate with.

I made this reservation in error, but when I immediately tried to cancel it, the number for the management company was incorrect. Expedia couldn't help me either. An expensive mistake.

Excellent apartment! Clean, tidy, comfortable, convenient transport (with car park and near station).

Convenient location right outside of London, grocery store, and within walking distance. Host was responsive and made process simple and convenient. Furniture could use upgrading, but great for the price. Overall would recommend.
