Good position, and a really nice host.

The room was quite small. Not too bad, but for the size it is a bit pricey.

1. Prohibited us from staying 2 nights although I paid for 2 nights 2. Came into our room unsolicited, eand ntered without permission while we were asleep 3. Took pictures of us without consent (photos below) 4. Came into the bathroom while a resident was showering 5. tried up charging us $50 6. Pictures online didn’t match the reality in person (mold, unsanitary conditions, doesn’t wash sheets) 7. Sold our room that we paid for 8. Xenophobic by trying to upcharge once she realized we were foreigners (American) and did not speak Spanish

Ara and Jai were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. You're paying for proximity to the beach. It's well worth it. We aren't the partying type, but of you ate this is centrally located in Gros. Great place!

Location is very good, right in front of one of the two main bays, and with direct sea views (albeit across a noisy junction, with limited insulation from the windows). The building is from the 19th c. and well maintained, with a lovely entrance. The host, Ara, is a lovely woman, who went out of her way to help me with various things all throughout my stay. Their neaby bar is a great counterpart to the Pension, as you can get very good food there and generally have it as a point of contact.

One of the two shared bathrooms was always available, and typically very clean (both were cleaned multiple times per day). However, I wasn't quite so lucky with the other aspect of sharing: noise from the neighbors. This obviously varies, and is not the property's fault, as most people will simply be like this, e.g.slamming doors despite coming home at 2am, etc. In summary, noise (from the other doors, and from outside traffic) can be a slight concern if you are sensitive to that, but aside from that I really enjoyed this pension, thanks to its great location, nice view, and kind hosts.

The host was amiable and informative. The three beaches and shopping neighbourhood were all in walking distance. They supplied new towels in our room every day of our stay. Everything was neat and clean. From the window/balcony you could see the beach. The (closed) windows blocked the noise from the streets and had roller shutters to darken the room. I noticed that they changed the floor rug daily in the shared showers! There were enough shared sanitary rooms on the floor. Nice warm and very comfortable shower spray. The floor level had thin walls and wooden creaking floor but everybody was very respectful and considerate of each other.

There were two clean and neat bathrooms available. One looked newly built, the furniture and sanitary looked very new. We used this shower during our stay. Because the other bathroom (an older one) even though it was very clean and neat! the showerhead had black mold on where the water pours through. Mold is a common thing in bathrooms, I understand it can be easily missed but it's not healthy. My suggestion would be to replace the showerhead or clean/soak the showerhead with natural vinegar or special cleaning product. I bet the next guest will not have this problem. As I have seen past dislikes in the reviews being solved when we stayed there.

Kind and helpful owners. The view was great as well.

The view of the surfers was okay except for the construction project in front. The neighborhood has many bars and restaurants.

The chemical smell from the room deodorizers in the hall and bathroom made me feel sick to my stomach. The place does NOT feel like home...it feels more like a scene in Orwell's novel, 1984. The lights and surveillance cameras are a bit unnerving when one gets up at night to use the shared bathroom across the hall.

Great view of the beach and nice location.

The room had an overwhelming smell of parfume. Was missing some darker curtains. Also not particularly soundproof.
