Please note in order to get to Posada del Caminante from Balta Airport on Santa Cruz Island, guests need to drive up to Puerto Ayora, approximately an hour away, and then hire a local boat to Puerto Villamil Isabela, approximately a 2-hour drive away. Boats leave once a day at 2pm, please confirm schedule locally.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Lovely comfortable stay."

Spacious room, hot powerful shower, free laundry - snorkelling equipment also available. Fan in the room kept room cool in the evening. Free bananas and oranges for guests . Nice hammock hang out location and kitchen to make breakfast.

Little bit far out of the town.

"Magic Galapagos"

What I liked the most was the great vibes with everybody staying there and Jason is a great Host.

The kitchen might be bigger and better furnished.

Comfy bed, big room, clean, good social area with hammocks, friendly staff

Wifi in room didn't work, a few cockroaches (cant be helped really), very small kitchen, 9am checkout

Clean and tidy. Helpful staff that allowed early luggage storage. Very safe place to stay (despite no safes nor key to the room (left unlocked)

Could have used another towel and the bathroom needed hand soap.

We absolutely loved our stay at Posada del Caminante on Isabela Island! The place is beautiful, cozy, and full of charm — surrounded by nature and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the Galápagos. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with anything we needed. It really felt like a home away from home. If you're visiting Isabela on a budget, this place is a perfect choice — affordable without sacrificing comfort. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful and authentic experience in the Galápagos!

It's a bit noisy from the dogs in the neighborhood that are barking but with earplugs it was okay

Really friendly staff, free bananas and free water which is great. Very large room. Nice hammock area to chill and small kitchen if needed

Not AC but have a fan which was fine for us. Some mold in the bathroom but often common in humid places

"Quite cheap and a decent value for money!"

Staff was friendly and helpful, bed was clean and comfy, felt safe (even though our dorm room was open with no key :D), free laundry service which was great, a few minutes walking distance from most places in town, the kitchen was not the best but was good enough for a coffee in the morning

No hot water :( since isabela is warm it wasn’t the worst, but worth mentioning
