B&B Elvira Al Duomo

Hele lieve mensen die je in alles naar de zin proberen te maken. De lokatie is prima als uitvalsbasis om uitstapjes te maken. Net uit de drukte van Palermo. Goed te doen met de bus. Tip: ga eten bij Osteria Peper's

Brilliant peaceful and beautiful location near central Monreale with balconies on our rooms to get the wonderful views, even of the sea beyond. Santino helped us by was helpful by taking our son-in-law next day back to Palermo airport to collect our large hire car. He also made us a really good local restaurant booking for one evening. Both he and Elvira were invariably pleasant and helpful. Elvira's breakfasts were exceptional with coffee, fresh bread, yogurts, croissants, local pastries, fruit, fresh fruit juices and water. Highlight were the eggs done in mini omelette form. We enjoyed coming down in the morning for the splendid spread. We last visited Sicily in 1971, but had to return home when my husband's father suddenly died and missed seeing Monreale, the main focus of our trip. So we were delighted to be able to see it at last before we are too old to travel abroad. We were sorry to leave, but then went on to the Parco di Etna for another lovely stay in amazingly green and colourfully flowered Sicily with all its exotic trees and plants.

Communication with a series of Booking.Com Netherlands staff, who could not answer our queries but kept asking the same questions we had already answered and punctuated their replies with inane remarks like "hope you are having a nice day" "hope this finds you well"etc. We did have some language problems with the property, as Santino's and Elvira's daughter, an English language teacher, was on holiday and our eldest grandson at UCL University of London who speaks Italian could not join us until Parco d'Etna, as the Italian authorities in London don't work during August and only released his passport with VISA stamp in time for 2nd part of our travel. He will be studying this coming academic year at the University of Florence.

Santino y Elvira son encantadores. Su casa es preciosa, te tratan genial y te ayudan con explicaciones y recomendaciones. La habitacion era grande y la cama muy cómoda. Todo estaba super limpio. El desayuno buenisimo. La ubicación, excepcional. Lo recomiendo 100%

Nous avons adoré l’accueil, la gentillesse et l’authenticité de Elvira et Santino. On nous a conseillé de super restos et activités. Le logement était très joli avec une vue à couper le souffle. Possibilité de se gagner dans le parking intérieur de la maison. Il y avait également de la place dans la rue. Le petit déjeuner était en intérieur et composé de produits typiques siciliens. C’était délicieux. Si c’était à refaire, on le referait les yeux fermés. PS : Santino parle français et un tout petit peu l’anglais :)

Supervriendelijke hosts; heel behulpzaam en geen vraag is hen te veel. De kamer en het balkon waren ruim met een mooi uitzicht. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid rn heerlijk.
