Location is prime. Close to everything w good views.

It’s old and aging, but maintenance is NOT being kept up. They have wall mounted heaters that don’t work; they provided portable heaters, but didn’t need them. It was stuffy and hot, but no AC, just small rotating fans and windows only opened 4 inches. Biggest issue? Wrought iron is rusted, chipped endlessly where once painted, and falling off FRONT of building. The paint has chipped down to decaying wood on all window frames. There is heavy mildew in heavy caulking in bathrooms. There are rubber bands holding up shower heads, duct tape patching carpet holes along seams and chipped/aged/damaged furniture. The building is Victorian era, and was once stunning, but these issues are entirely due to poor maintenance, not age. Price too high for these badly maintained conditions.

The beds were like sleeping on a rock. The pillows were not soft. The room was so cramped you could barely move around in it. Our room was next to the outside trash so we kept hearing bottles and cans being dumped all night long.

The location

Just about everything else. Our room wasn’t serviced at all during a three night stay and it took three phone calls just to get some teabags. Decor tired, public areas hot and stuffy, room poorly furnished and badly lit.
