ibis Styles York Centre

Exactly what you would want/expect from this type of hotel. Basic facilities but very clean, a short pleasant walk to the city centre, and the staff were great. We didn't eat there so can't comment on breakfast.

Great location, walking distance to city centre. Pleasant staff. Clean bedroom with a comfy bed, TV, kettle, tea and coffee. Spacious shower cubicle with all necessary amenities. It would be helpful to have a small fridge available in the room.

The bedroom I got was at the back of the building facing the rear of the carpark. It got nice view of the green housing estate nearby, but a little loud in the morning from the carpark. I believe above the bedroom there is a laundry room, as the noise I heard for nearly 2 hours sounded like washing machine or a tumble dryer.

Good location near the train station. Practical room and big bathroom.

The room was not clean when I first arrived. Both the toilet and the floor were still dirty.

The room was awesome . Massive TV ,super clean bathroom , comfortable bed, loads of windows and air-conditioning . The breakfast is 'all you can eat' . The staff were beyond lovely and very helpful and polite . I was not expecting such a lovely hotel which is why I have mentioned it exceeded my expectations . going there I thought it was going to be Travel Lodge or holiday Inn (Nothing wrong with those two but this hotel is on another level .I think it has just had a makeover which definitely shows
