Very friendly staff and close to all the restaurants

The overall stay was decent. Nothing special but good enough for a quick night's stay. We got in about 12:30am and checked in quick. After a bit of time in the room realized we should ask for a late checkout of about an hour to get a little extra sleep. This is something we've had to do before as we travel often and it's almost never an issue. If a charge is mentioned we just suck it up and leave on time. We called the front desk the lady working stated the day desk person makes that decision and that she'd leave a note that we requested a noon checkout. There was no call after that so we assumed things were fine and set an alarm accordingly. They called at 11 saying that the note left was that we'd call at 7am and request the late checkout which wasn't true. Then they said any check out past 11:15 would be a half days rate which is absolutely absurd and never heard of in my 13 years of traveling the country coast to coast. I said okay and we rushed to get dressed and packed up to avoid the charge. There was no time to shower and we barely made it out in time. I then asked the front desk lady about it and she was incredibly rude and dismissive acting like we're lying and couldn't care less. She then said that the note said we were told about the fee which is incorrect as we wouldn't have tried to leave later. There was no apology or anything for any kind of miscommunication or misunderstanding. If she even said sorry and gave us an extra 15 minutes it would've been a world of a difference in this review. Horrible customer service for both desk women as the first was nice to our face but then lied in the note (assuming that's what the note actually said) and the day woman was incredibly rude and didn't care at all that we had a bad stay and didn't seem to even listen to us.

The room was clean. The elevator worked. The parking area was well lit. The a/c worked.

It took 3 attempts to get me into a room that wasn't being renovated or repaired... The first room I went to was under construction, with debris on the floor and the a/c had been removed. The next room they put me in, they informed me that the room wasn't supposed to be in use shortly after retrieving my luggage... They didn't explain why.Just switched my room yet again. Very frustrating after a long day of driving. Also, I called the front desk and requested for a wake up call in the morning ~ I never got the call, but luckily I had woken up early didn't miss my appointment.
