Sol Ipanema Hotel

La ubicación y la terraza.

A localização é excelente. O staff é profissional e competente.

O quarto, ao chegarmos, cheirava um pouco forte (aquele cheiro de ambientes perto do mar que ficam fechados por algum tempo). Deram-nos um quarto de fundos, com vista para os fundos de outro edifício, nada inspirador. O café-da-manhã é servido num ambiente muito pequeno, apertado, que em determinados horários fica cheio e no limite do desconforto.

The hotel is very well located in the Ipanema beach surrounded by very good restaurantes. Very nice and clean room with a sea view (recommended!); a very good restaurante in the 1st floor for dinner. Breakfast is good although limited. The only recommendation for the hotel is to check on the tour companies that they work with because the one we got in the front desk (Pepe Rio Tours) was terrible, and they work with worst tour ever. And we were not they only ones thinking this way about them. In the reception, there was specially one person very attentive and helpful but I don’t remember his name. He did the check in and check out for us

The location and accessibility to the beach is superb.

Pool closes at 9p… wish it would be open later, since it’s in such a tourist area.

Very clean and beautiful views. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room's air conditioner worked well. Nice hot water showers. Very good breakfast buffet and the dinners at the restaurant. At breakfast, the dining area can get crowded and hard to move around in, so avoid the high-traffic times for meals. The rooftop is small and can be too crowded as well. We went during the "off-season," so we enjoyed drinks and appetizers on the rooftop, sometimes just by ourselves! The pool is the size of a large hot tub spa. If kids show up, be prepared to get splashed. The deck is pretty small.
