"Spa Perfection."

10.0

Just back from an overnight stay at the Manor House to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The tl;dr version is that the place is exceptional and one of the best Spa Stay’s we’ve done. If you want a more detailed breakdown, please read on; Welcome: From the moment you arrive, you’re made to feel welcome and the check in process is seamless (I observed a busy check-in period the morning we checked out whilst waiting for my wife and they were just as professional, welcoming and efficient). As a bonus our room was ready earlier than expected so we were able to head up and get into our robes for a day in the spa. Room: If there’s one thing that you could critique it would be the rooms. They are absolutely fine, perfectly clean and insanely comfortable bed, but you could argue they’re a bit dated and decor isn’t in keeping with the rest of the spa. But this is really nitpicking. How much time are you spending in your room when you go to a spa? As an aside, when talking to my therapist about the hotel, it’s not been open long (4 years or so) and it sounds like they’re constantly upgrading and adding so it wouldn’t surprise me to see the rooms refurbished at some point. The Poolhouse/Lunch; We headed to The Poolhouse bar/restaurant after changing into our robes. A lovely space with great vibe. I’d pre-ordered afternoon tea for lunch which was delicious. Again, if I could really nitpick, the bread on the sandwiches had dried out slightly where it had been prepped but they were delicious and the selection of sandwiches and cakes were generous (I have a good appetite and was stuffed!) and all were exceptional. Spa facilities: We headed out to the spa gardens after lunch to explore; which is exactly what you have to do, because there is so many places to relax, swim, steam, sauna. Not many spas provide a map on check in so you know where everything is! No less than 3 pools (2 outdoor, 1 indoor), TWO swim up bars (one in each outdoor pool, both with different vibes), indoor and outdoor loungers, hot tub, multiple different steam rooms and saunas, an other relaxation areas. All its genuinely incredible and they’ve thought of just about everything. We went at peak Storm Claudia and was still nice to chill outside in the warm pool or under a blanket and heater in one of the cabanas on a floating bed. Attentive staff everywhere, tidying vacated beds, switching on heaters and making sure every guest is having a great experience. Pool bar staff were friendly and attentive too. Inside, the pool and loungers in the serenity pool area are great, with another sauna and steam room. Both myself and my wife had massages booked and they were top notch. In summary, the spa was exceptional. This review really isn’t doing it justice with various chill out spaces and different pockets of facilities, there’s something for everyone and although the hotel and spa was clearly busy, it never felt overcrowded and there’s a great vibe through the whole place. Dinner and Breakfast: Both dinner and breakfast is served in the Stables bar and grill on site. It’s a 2/3 course set menu, which I assume changes daily or regularly, but there is plenty of selection for all 3 courses so there’s something for everyone. Predictably at this point, it was spot on; ambiance, presentation, flavour and portion sizes were perfect and we genuinely couldn’t find fault with anything we ate and the restaurant staff were all really attentive (imagine my shock at this point 😆) Same could be said for breakfast. The continental buffet has everything you need including incredible croissants and pain au chocolat The cooked breakfast was great as well and topped off an impeccable stay. All in all in terms of value for money, you won’t find much better spa stays. Most spas tend to offer fixed amount of time in the spa included (or you’ll pay extra for the privilege); but you essentially get a full day of every day you stay over (plus a few hours before to check out!). We will definitely be returning (hopefully sooner rather than later!) I’d find it really difficult to believe anyone having a bad experience, unless they’re trying really hard to pick holes and find fault. In my opinion, they’ve got it spot on.

"An absolute fabulous stay & fantastic value for money"

10.0

What amazing value we did the Monday deal. Arrived greeted with our bag ready for the spa. Checked in our room was gorgeous, warm & the beds were soooo comfortable. Went to the spa & looked around quite honestly have been to lots over the years but this was so incredible pretty & very unusual. We then had a mezze platter & afternoon tea to share which was superb which was included in the deal with a glass of bubbles. We then enjoyed the spa, tried out all the options it was beautiful, especially after sunset. Later we tucked into a gorgeous 3 course meal, which was both delicious & beautifully presented & a bottle of Zinfandel. Just about managed to eat the sticky toffee pudding. Had a drink at the bar & then had a wonderful nights sleep. Breakfast so much choice all very fresh and tasty. Staff were all so helpful and friendly. A truly amazing stay loved it !

"Spa is 10/10"

10.0

The grounds and spa are stunning, treatment rooms smell divine. Pool areas are gorgeous. Swim up bars make it like a holiday,, and the drinks and coffee are 10/10. The bedrooms are outdated and need a refurb and the beds are firm so not the comfiest. Would I go back - most definitely just hope they refurb the rooms soon.

"Relaxation and Luxury at Its Best"

10.0

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Manor House Spa in Alsager! From start to finish, our experience was brilliant. The spa itself is incredible – so relaxing, beautifully maintained, and the outdoor area is simply stunning with a wonderful variety of spots to sit and multiple pools to enjoy. The treatments we had were exceptional, thanks to Izzy and Nat, who were both professional and made us feel completely pampered. Paige on reception was brilliant and so welcoming, and Emily C. did a sterling job looking after us in the bar area – we couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful stay. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!
