Manor House Hotel & Spa

I had a really lovely stay at the Manor House and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were amazing! Extremely helpful and welcoming throughout, which made a real difference to my visit. The Stables restaurant was fantastic and definitely a highlight, and the spa itself was excellent. There is currently some construction work underway to enhance the spa facilities. While it didn’t detract from my stay, a heads-up beforehand would have been appreciated, as there were some building staff on site and a few unfinished areas visible.

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Manor House Hotel & Spa overall. The setting is genuinely beautiful, and the outdoor garden area was a real highlight, especially in the sunshine. It creates a lovely, relaxed environment that feels a bit different from the typical spa experience. The atmosphere is more social than you might expect, which we actually quite liked. It gave the whole place a more relaxed and less clinical feel. The staff throughout were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference to the overall experience. The evening meal included in our overnight stay was outstanding. The quality of the food was genuinely impressive and easily one of the highlights of the visit. In contrast, lunch at The Stables was a bit of a let-down. The menu felt quite limited, with mainly salads and pizzas on offer, and relatively expensive for what it was. Given how strong the evening dining was, the difference was quite noticeable. One area that was disappointing was the spa treatment availability. We stayed on a Tuesday and were unable to book any treatments. This wasn’t made clear to us at the time of booking, and had we known, we would have arranged things differently. As treatments are a big part of why we book spa stays, it did feel like we missed out on a key part of the experience. Greater clarity around this at the point of booking would be really helpful for future guests. That said, we still had a very good stay overall and would definitely consider returning.

My husband and I booked this trip as part of my 40th birthday celebrations and it was perfect from start to finish. Check in was smooth and informative with the added bonus that our room was ready on arrival. We started our stay with afternoon tea in The Stables - delicious - before heading to The Spa Garden. The space is absolutely beautiful with so much attention to detail. It was a beautiful sunny day and the spa was fully booked but it never felt crowded. The swim up bars were such a treat and we liked that one of them was a quieter space. Our evening meal in The Stables was excellent, as was breakfast the next morning. It was lovely to also have spa access on the morning of checking out too as this was a relaxing way to end the break. We’ve already booked to come back!

Not the cheapest Spa experience by any means. The Spa itself has two areas which are very small and busy. Food was basic, a meze plate or alternative was afternoon tea which looked basic. Request from staff on entering was not to reserve loungers with towels but every lounger was reserved so no where to sit. Only staff members were behind the bar. One hot tub but was packed so couldn’t get in, other ‘private’ hot tubs looked like they could be hired out at a cost.

The Manor House Spa is a cut above the rest and we've visited plenty of 5 star spas. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food and drink options are exceptional and the facilities are beautiful. We love that even at full capacity over Easter weekend, there was always somewhere quiet to go whether that was in the secret garden with the swinging beds hidden behind the pool with water feature, the covered, heated pergolas overlooking the fields or the indoor pool. We had the Spa and Stay deal and the dinner in the evening was very good. A small menu but perfectly cooked. The room was spacious with two double beds and a lovely big bathroom with bath robes. We made the most of the lovely sunny weather but there are plenty of indoor spaces and fire pits for the colder weather. Everything at Manor House Spa is just as a spa should be - calm and beautiful.

We visited Manor House in order to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday, and it was the best decision, as they made our experience so special. The room was lovely, the staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful I've ever come across, and the spa was second to none. The swim-up bar and drinks delivery service were ideal, and the cocktails were out of this world. We had the mezze platter for lunch (we actually couldn't finish it, it was so filling!), and had 3 courses at the Stables restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious, and they even brought out a special birthday surprise with dessert, which was such a special touch. Cannot reccomend this place enough!
