Best Western San Marcos

It’s not bad for the price really I like the breakfast option they had it was clean

The hotel was clean and well-maintained.

Check in was fine. The bathroom had hair in the shower and behind the toilet hadn’t been cleaned. There was something spilled all over the wall in the room. I got home and had 4-5 bed bug bites on me. I prayed that I didn’t bring home any critters.

The tub was not as clean as it should have been had a lot of residue. My son’s room was just the same regarding the tub. However room was in great condition.

Nothing fancy, but was great for an overnight stay. Was attending a graduation and it was a close to the campus and very convenient. The morning and evening front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The beds were firm and comfortable. The only thing that made it a less pleasant experience was the train in the distance that came through several times during the night. The interstate traffic noise did not bother us at all. Decent breakfast included.

Good value for price.

Very nice employee

I stayed at the BW San Marcos for two nights over Easter weekend. The hotel was full of families so I always felt safe. The room was clean and quiet. I had read in other reviews that people complained of highway noise, so I made sure to ask for a room that faced away from the highway. My morning wake up was birds singing outside my room. (To be fair, it is spring.) I enjoyed breakfast. Had scrambled eggs with toast and coffee every morning. They rotated Canadian bacon and sausage links every day. They also had Texas-shaped waffles, which are always a hit. The coffee was ok, but it was always fresh. I didn't see any decaf if that's your thing. The room was clean and the a/c kept the room nice and cold. The only thing that wasn't great for me was the mattress. Some people can sleep anywhere, but I'm not one of those. But then again, if you want Westin quality mattresses, you have to stay at the Westin. Overall, it was a good stay. There was hot breakfast. I felt safe. The room was clean. The staff was friendly.
