They had a good breakfast

The rooms could have been cleaner. They only cleaned the bathroom daily , beds were not made etc . The lamp over the bed hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The furniture is very dated . Also the hotel is in the middle of being renovated and this was on the website. I felt the images on the booking.com did not match want me got.

Location was good that's about it

Omg where do I start it was dirty very old hasn't been updated since the 80s I'd say it is getting updated atm so it's noisy work starts at 7.30am so workmen are drilling and hammering there were bugs in the room no PowerPoint's near bed wifi was crap tv was the absolute smallest one available and we couldn't access all the free to air channels ,dead bugs in lights but outside light was falling out of wall , it smelled horrible in the room and hotel, outside lift the air-conditioning was falling out of ceiling, our air-conditioning didn't work at all which in the tropics isn't good at all ,the kettle leaked and didn't fit under tap in bathroom theres no safe in room I could go on !!!!there is no way it's 4 star it should be shut down it's not safe to be there needs a visit from the health and building department council would shut it down just don't stay there

Easy place to stay, staff were lovely, value for money. Just under renovation at the moment.

Well positioned

The only thing going for it was the location. Close to the city centre and right on the northern end of the esplanade.

Do not book a stay at the Acadia Court. Nothing, and I mean nothing has changed or been maintained since we stayed here over 14yrs ago but the prices have sky-rocketed. For a room that cost over $250 a night, I expect there to not be ants in the room, for the air con to be working (we were sweating and unable to sleep), for there to be at least a chair on the beach view balcony so I can try and enjoy my stay, for there not to be exposed wires in the outdoor lights and for the rooms to look like they at least come from this decade. I was very disappointed with what we were offered for the price we paid. Spoke to reception twice about the air con and both times, nothing was done about it. Will never be returning here again.
