Key West Inn - Clanton

We started our trip with two drivers intending to drive the whole night to get home from Florida to Northern Kentucky but my daughter got sick and we needed to get a room for the night. We arrived at the hotel after midnight and the clerk was very helpful with our check-in. We had a first floor room that was clean and had great water pressure and lots if hot water for showers.

The room was dirty (carpet, floor boards, mirror) and the mattresses were rock hard. My sister only got about 2 hours of sleep as the mattress was so uncomfortable and her head itched from the pillow. Bed bugs????? The breakfast is a joke...only one table to sit at. The coffee was okay but had powdered creamer which I hate. First and last time to ever stay at any Key West Hotel. We didn't stop for the night until 9:30 pm so wanted to sleep a little later. Housekeeping woke us up pounding on the door at 8:00 am even though check-out was 11 am.

This hotel was small and conveniently located off of the interstate. Staff was friendly. The only issue I had was that there was no extra fee disclosed and somehow I was charged $8 more than what I thought I was paying to expedia.

Tge hotel was convient to interstate and Peach Park. Staff was nice and room was in working order. The room had a strong smell that was over-bearing, otherwise fairly clean.

pleasant staff , decent room for the price, nothing fancy but the beds were comfortable.

I was satisfied with the room. It could have been better, but I am glad it wasn't worse.

Complimentary breakfast was a farce. outside of hotel needed lots of work. The theme was supposed to be key west - Florida, but it failed.

We were most impressed with the ease of check in and check out. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were nice and had the ammenities we needed. I would add a few more items to the continental breakfast, as it was pretty spare. The value and comfort was exactly what we needed.

Clean. Safe. Easy to get to. Close to several restaurants. Well maintained. I will stay there every time I go back to visit family in Indiana. I left important papers in the dresser drawer and Wayne found them intact and mailed them to me immediately. Honest man. Great hotel. I highly recommend it.

Not great, not bad . A good value if you are not expecting too much.
