Best Western Deming Southwest Inn

Stayed here for one night. Older property, you drive right up to your room motel style, but rooms inside were spacious and clean and breakfast was fine. Good for an overnight

So there's going to be a long story but it just is my car broke down in Deming in the middle of nowhere I stayed the first night at this Best Western for $53 the next day I need to get my car fixed it wasn't going to be fixed in the afternoon so I called the lobby first thing in the morning and asked in the room and they told me that yes I could extend the room everything would be fine and I'd only be charged it another $53 for the next night so around 2:00 I went to the lobby and the general manager asked me why I hadn't paid for the room yet and I said okay well hold on I'll be right back and I brought $60 because I was told $53 this morning to which she didn't tell me that the rooms are not $53 they're $120 which made him $147 doubling tripling the rate that I was told in the morning after some intense negotiating I totally like I would pay 77 plus tax for $85 which would be half of what her rate was and not the right that I was told in the morning to which she said she could do the $85 but she kept saying 85% imagination so basically they pulled a bait and switch where they offered me a lower rate and then charged me a higher rate and didn't document the right they told me in the morning or tell me that I had to come down to pay for the room or ever call my room and say Hey you know you need to come over the room they just decided that they would hit it when I left I guess I don't know I would not stay here not that the rooms are not clean because they are clean but if you value your money I would go anywhere else in Deming New Mexico and that includes the Western hotel which I drove by and it's like falling apart it's still a better value cuz at least they're going to honor what they say

Location and one story facility. Front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful.

Sink outside bathroom drains slowly

It was clean but not deep clean. Such as the bathroom lots of scuff marks on doors and the walls around bathroom area needs to be wiped down and the pedestal of the bed was bare wood which felt unfinished. But overall not dirty and good price for accommodation.
