Green Element Guesthouse

Ha superado al 100% mis expectativas. Un sitio extremadamente tranquilo donde uno se siente en casa. Se duerme de maravilla. El host que estuvo presente te pregunta cada día cómo va todo y se preocupa por tu comodidad. La habitación súper espaciosa, luminosa y bonita. He estado hospedada en hoteles pero nunca en un sitio como este, sin duda volveré a este mismo sitio. Ya lo sentía como mi hogar.

The guesthouse is a house changed into a guest house - 4 rooms altogether, so you will not meet with many other people. There is a well equipped kitchen (fridge with own shelf for each room, Nespresso coffee machine, water boiler, stove, kitchen utensils). Some products to share, which were left from previous guests - worth to look around before big shopping (I found some herbs, oil, salt, so the basics are there). The rooms are modern, and as on the photos. There is a shared dining room as well. There is one separate shared toilet, and one bathroom with 3 showers and an other toilet. It is located like 15 mins walk away from the coast line, there are direct buses going to that direction. 3 mins away there is a lovely coffee, where you can buy breakfast (tons of pastry and coffee - the Portuguese experience :) ). The owner is also very kind, he let me go there early, and leave my stuff there while cleaning happened. He also offered to set up a desk in my room in case I want to work from there. (I did work couple of hours from the dining room - I did not need more, so I was fine. But it was a kind gesture.)

The house is a renovated house, which is lovely, however the doors close a little loud, so you could hear the neighbor rooms coming and going. In the shower there are 3 showers with doors - but the doors are basically from glass, so possible to look through. So not possible to use for several people at once - it did not cause a problem when I was there, as there are only 4 rooms in the house, so you will find your slot easily where you could use it alone. So it is not a minus, just letting it here for the record. The showers are tiny.

It was very easy to reach by public transport, very close to the beach and park. Everything was very clean. It was quiet. They were both very communicative, very supportive with everything.

The only problem for me was thst whole apartment was very cold like 12 degrees or so. There was a warm air blowing heater but it was not heating the room , he gave me an oil radiator then it was better but it was old and the room started smelling a bit. A modern convector panel or an AC was needed. The kitchen, dining area, bathroom etc all were very cold. This is probably a common thing in Portugal , no heating.

Pedro, our host, was super helpful and friendly. We literally felt at home there.

Le personnel agréable La chambre propre

El ambiente del alojamiento, la atención de Ines y Pedro, la habitación, las facilidades, la ubicación.

Las duchas son un poco pequeñas y quizá un poco anticuadas, al igual que los WC, pero todo lo demás es maravilloso.

This is not a hotel/hostel - it is more like a good airbnb, where you can chat with the hosts/other guests, and have your own room with a key. There is a well-equipped kitchen and living room, washing machine etc - everything to feel at home. Very quiet at night. The hosts are very accommodating and nice people, make sure you get their whatsapp to stay in touch.

The showers and bathrooms are shared - it is not ideal but this is just how the house was built, not much can be done about it. The doors are sometimes a bit stiff.
