Pocaterra Inn and Waterslide

Honestly the property is not bad but it is surrounded by construction trash which takes away from the views. There are three washing machines and one “working” dryer. The dryer took two cycles and my clothes were still damp so I went to a laundromat which really just wasted my time and money. The waterslide and pet amenities are nice. The breakfast is meh at best

We stayed here as cheaper than our usual hotel choices. Still not cheap as focus on pool and waterslides which didn’t interest us. A little further from town than we thought as arrived after dark and ended up with McD for supper but in the light of day found a couple of places easy to walk to for food. Canmore town itself hard to find parking.

My kids loved the water slide. Convenient location to get on/off the highway which we liked for traveling back and forth to Banff NP. Close to a McDonald’s and Wendy’s! Short drive to downtown Canmore which is a must visit. Rooms weren’t anything fancy but did the trick, and was a lot cheaper than staying downtown Banff.

When in Canmore you are not here to stay inside. This hotel met all of our needs and the staff (Anna) was amazing in helping us navigate the area. The Legacy trail was across the street leading to Banff. A great bike rental was next door. Benjamin helped arrange bikes and info for our ride to Banff. Tim Hortons and Wendy’s next door. 15 minute walk to Canmore town center on a trail. Also, the free breakfast provided was amazing. Thank you POCATERRA for a great Canmore experience! The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and best of all it was pet friendly.

Located close to nearby amenities and transCanada highway - Sauna doesnt work, no drinking water bottles provided, breakfast was decent. Be prepared to pay a deposit even if you paid upfront for the room. Staff was friendly and nice.
