"Wrongly charged for a cancelled booking they are incompetent to process a simple refund owed."

I made a booking for this motel with the free cancellation option, and I cancelled it about 6 weeks before the booking which allowed free cancellation up to the day before of the booking. Regardless of this I was charged for the booking on the day. It has been more than three weeks of emails and calls, promises and excuses of the fact they will look into it and get it refunded. Almost $700 has been charged from my card and I am still waiting very patiently until now for a refund. I will definitely be visiting Apollo Bay in the future but will definitely never be staying at this motel.
