The Beach House

This place is terrible. We arrived to find out they had not honored our reservation for a suite with a separate bedroom and full kitchen. Instead, they gave us a small single room with a mini fridge and microwave. They told us Expedia had overbooked the room. We checked in on Saturday. On Sunday they moved us to a larger room but told us they had to move us to the smaller room again on Thursday because it was reserved for another family. So, we moved all our things because we needed a kitchen and a separate bedroom so our child could sleep at night. On Thursday we got ready to move back to the smaller room but there was another mix-up and they wouldn't give us the code to move into the smaller room even though we had to move out of the larger room by 11am. We ended up deciding to leave because we would rather be home then in that hotel any longer. Honestly, I don't know if that other room we booked even existed. I find it hard to believe this place has a room with stainless steel appliances and a fireplace. Thankfully Expedia saved us and refunded us a good portion of our money. The floors were disgusting. Our feet were black within minutes of walking barefoot inside. We wore shoes inside once we realized how dirty the floors were. Also, the beds were completely worn out. There were body-shaped indentions in the beds. The HVAC could not keep up with the humidity in the room. Everything felt damp all the time. The walk to the beach was the only redeeming quality.

We had a very great stay, loved the location and how the staff wasnt up your butt like some places tend to be. Had a hiccup with our lock and it was responded to and handled quickly. Hope to someday stay again!

It was quite and clean.

Overall we had a very nice stay, the staff was helpful with a couple hiccups with our lock and always bought things we needed in a timely manner. Nice small hotel happy with our trip. Definitely could see myself staying again in future or one of their partner hotels in area

This hotel did not honor our reservation for a king suite. When we showed up the room we were given was a single room with no separate bedroom and not kitchen. The front desk person told us that Expedia overbooked and they could do nothing. They moved us to a larger room on the second day but said we would need to move again three days later to a smaller room. The floors were dirty; our feet were black. The beds were completely worn out. I would never stay there again. The promised us a refund because we left two days early, but that hasn't come through yet.

Has a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ended up extending our trip by a day with no problem. The room is nothing extraordinary but it did the job for our small family. I appreciated the simplicity and the little kitchen which allowed me to make breakfast for my family. Easy beach access and super cute patio! We are already talking about staying again soon!

Our 1st time visiting Carolina Beach and we definitely will be back. The Beach House was just right for our stay. Friendly staff. Ocean front. Clean property. No overcrowded beach in this area. We plan to return.

Our room was nice and clean except the floors. Bottom of my feet were black from walking barefoot on the floors on the first day
